Time for Fun

Yesterday we went to the Zoo. The girls were so excited....even Kayla. I asked them that morning if they wanted to go and you should have seen how fast their little legs were going. Keeli dressed herself without the usually, "Mommy" whine. And Kayla was jumping out of her seat she was so excited. Kayla caught me off guard because I didn't think that she would understand what the Zoo was. My baby is growing up! I was kinda sad because I didn't have to take the a stroller with me. One less thing to lug around. But inside my heart was acheing because it means that my baby is well on her way to not being a baby anymore. God has blessed me with two beautiful children. I try very hard to slow life down so that I can enjoy them more. But that doesn't always happen. I wished that I could always remember these sweet times....

Kayla fell and busted her lip on the way out of the Zoo. Ouch!!!

Another Fun Day

Keeli wrote the letter 'e' all by herself!

I had to post these pictures of the girls playing today.

Summer Days

I have come to realize that my girls love swimming. And I too love it because they are just exhausted afterwards and take really good naps. ha! A friend of mine has been gracious enough to let us use her pool from time to time. I will post some pics from last night. The sun had gone down behind the house so it was a little cool. I didn't let Kayla get in. But Keeli and her friends braved the cool water and jumped right in. They had a blast!

Update on Kayla

Just a quick post to keep everyone "in the know" on Kayla's condition. Yesterday, I took her to her pediatrician because she ran fever and had a runny nose. She has an ear infection and the doctor thought that she might have some kind of viral infection because there were blisters in her throat. So, she put Kayla on an antibiotic. Then, I had to take her to what I thought was going to be her final GI doctor visit. But, he had another thing in mind. He ordered blood tests a couple of weeks ago so that the results would be in when we had the appointment. In April, when we went to Cooks, the blood work came back with a high ALT which is a liver enzyme. The blood work that we did a couple of weeks ago showed that she still had a high ALT. So, both doctors, the GI and the Cooks, want to repeat the tests again in August. If it is still high, then they want to do a liver biopsy. So, it is still a waiting game. But, now that she is on antibiotics again, the results will more that likely be high. But, we will see.

Right now, she seems fine except for the runny nose. Both girls are growing like weeds. Keeli will be so glad when Kayla doesn't have to go back to the doctor anymore. She really worries that Kayla is going to get a shot. She has such a sweet heart.

I was working on MOPS stuff this morning and I went into the living room to check on them. Keeli had her dress up clothes on and she managed to get a dress on Kayla too! They both had their dress up shoes on too. It was so sweet. I took some pictures but they didn't turn out right. I will have to post some later.

Everyday I am reminded how blessed that I am to be staying at home with them. I wished that I could just enjoy life the way that they do. The Bible says that we are to have the faith like children. It sounds so simple. Why is it so hard?
